Cumulative installed renewable electricity capacity, main case, India, 2015-2030

Notes

Solar PV capacity expressed in alternating current; CSP = concentrated solar power; Forecasted cumulative renewable capacity in 2030 is a result of IEA modelling. According to the Report on Optimal Generation Mix 2030 from Central Electricity Authority, in FY 2029-30 installed capacity is projected to reach 485 GW, including 293 GW of solar PV, 100 GW of wind, 59 GW of hydropower, 19 GW of PSH, and 15 GW of bioenergy. The differences between the IEA forecast and Central Electricity Authority projections result from different modelling assumptions.
