Notes

Includes all operational, under construction and planned CO2 capture facilities with an announced capacity of more than 100 000 tCO2 per year or 1000 tCO2 per year for direct air capture facilities and an announced timeline. Point-source capture excludes direct air capture pipeline. Selected company-level long-term ‘expansion scenarios’ for DAC were previously included in the database given relative flexibility of DAC siting compared to point-source projects, but have now been excluded to focus on well-defined facility-level projects.
