The Decree entered into force on 1st of April 2015.The programme subsidises installation of certain renewable energy systems, such as heat pumps, solar water heaters or biomass-fired boilers that help with energy savings for households.Amount of the subsidy differ per technology installed. The capital grant for biomass boiler installation amounts up to EUR 800. The subsidy cannot exceed 70% of the total installations costs of the boiler. Special Fund for Energy Efficiency in SMEs

The 6th Basic Plan for District Energy Supply sets Korea’s district energy policy direction for 2024–2028, shifting the sector from quantitative expansion toward cleaner heat sources.
