Energy Grant "Energy Savings Boost"
The energy grant "coup de pouce économies énergie" applies to households energy saving spendings, including building insulation, as well as replacement of coal, oil and non-condensing gas boilers by renewable energy equipment.
The work or equipment installations has to be done by a certified installer ("reconnu garant environnement")
The amount of the grant depends on household income levels.
The grant is distributed by energy providers and partner companies, signatories of the charte "Coup de pouce"
The scheme, originally schedulled for one year, has been extended and widened in January 2019 to include heating equipments.

Price reduction of combustion fuels for heating
Joint communication by Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning, and the Ministry of Finance on 16 May. Temporary reduction of 7.5 cents/€ per litre (incl. tax) of heating gas oil and industrial/agricultural gas oil.This temporary reduction lasts until December 2023.

Clean Heating for All programme
| Federal and State programme to support thermal renovation of buildings (renovation bonus), and upgrade heating boilers in low-income households. The Climate Protection Ministry (BMK) subsidized the replacement of inefficient fossil-fuelled oil or gas heating system. From 2022 to 2024, about 6,200 fossil fuel boilers of low-income-households had been abolished and funded by a national budget of about 140 million euros. The funding was continued in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management (BMLUK) in 2025.
