The International Energy Agency will be hosting a workshop on Enhancing the Impact of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Policies. The workshop will bring together 200 senior energy efficiency and renewable energy policymakers from around the world. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how government and business might support market-driven solutions that deliver integrated energy services to consumers and the built environment. The event will be opened by the Executive Director of the IEA, Dr Fatih Birol.
Future energy systems will require high proportions of energy efficiency and renewable energy, yet policy is often developed and implemented separately, risking sub-optimal outcomes for government, consumers, and business. This workshop will focus on emerging policy and business initiatives which seek to deliver affordable integrated energy services to consumers and the built environment. We will explore how governments are beginning to analyse and align existing policies and where potential trade-offs might exist.
Participation in this event is by invitation only.
