Enel Foundation, together with the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME) and the International Energy Agency (IEA), organizes a training course focusing on the recent developments of the energy system in the Mediterranean Region.

Its main objective is to provide a general overview of the current status of the Energy Markets in the Mediterranean basin together with a comprehensive review of the main factors that contribute to shaping a modern energy system in the region.


Registration to this course is by an open registration. Energy professionals from both the public and private sectors in the countries listed above and that fulfill the following requirements, are eligible to apply:  

  • Sending institution: The course is targeted at  government officials working in Energy-MinistriesEnergy Regulatory AuthoritiesNational Transmission System Operators, Regulated Energy Utilities, and other major energy Companies 
  • Professional background: Priority will be given to middle-senior level managers (Heads of Department/Unit) with minimum of 5 years of experience in the role and who have a good knowledge of English
  • Country of residence: Non-EU Mediterranean countries (see list above)

Fees,  costs and financial assistance

The course itself will be offered free of charge.

All accepted applicants will be fully funded by Enel Foundation (travel, accommodation, meals).

Course Programme (summary)

 The training course is organized around morning lectures focusing each day on a different topic, chosen among most relevant policy issues.  The lecture is integrated by an afternoon session devoted to the analysis of case studies and/or participation in focus groups.
