Energy Statistics Course March 2017: How to apply?

To apply for the course, please complete the online application form by 6th January 2017 at the latest. Following this date, we will evaluate all applications and inform participants of our decision by no later than mid-January 2017. 

The course is principally targeted at statisticians in central government and government agencies as well as statisticians and analysts in the energy industry, including regulators, fuel suppliers (oil, gas, coal), utilities companies and trade associations.

For logistical reasons, participation is limited to 25 and the following criteria will be taken into consideration: 

  • Professional background: priority will be given to applicants working in energy statistics, general statistics, and energy analysis
  • Sending institution: priority will be given to  applicants from the national statistics authority, energy ministry, national  energy agency, large energy sector companies
  • Country of residence: priority will be given to  non-IEA member countries, up to two participants per country; the IEA will accept more than two participants from the same country if places are available 

All courses will be delivered in English and interpretation will not be available. Therefore, a good level of the English language is required in order to benefit from the course.
