Description:DOE launched a national campaign to highlight ways to save energy in response to rising winter energy costs. Called "Easy Ways to Save Energy," the campaign consists of a three-pronged strategy aimed at energy efficiency and conservation measures for consumers, for business and industry, and for government facilities. For consumers, DOE distributed nationwide a newly updated guide, "Energy Savers: Tips on Saving Energy & Money at Home." This guide contains ways to help consumers save energy in their homes and to lower utility bills. This guide is aslo available to manufacturers, retailers, and local utilities. DOE and the Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) also unveiled a series of radio public service announcements to provide consumers with easy tips to save energy and gasoline. Other measures included: - Energy Hog ads in magazines, regional newspapers and on billboards. - Web-based educational games for kids - Send Energy Saving Teams to facilities to help improve the efficiency of federal agencies and 200 of America?s most energy-intensive factories by 10% - Partnerships with DOE to expand the availability of the Energy $avers guide
