Description:The UK government transposed the EU Directive 2004/101/EC validating those greenhouse gas offset credits generated under the Kyoto Protocols Flexible Mechanisms with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. The UK government set no qualititative nor quantitative limit on UK firms use of credits generated under the JI (ERUs) nor those of the CDM (CERs) to comply with emissions caps established by the UKs National Allocation Plan.
