The SwissEnergy Programme unites all voluntary mesures which contribute - in addition to the regulatory instruments - to fulfill the goals set in the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050. The Programme aims to improve energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies by creating partnerships with important market players and opinion leading organisations; it focus on five thematical fields:

  • Mobility,
  • Buildings,
  • Electrical Appliances,
  • Industries and Services,
  • Renewable Energies.

Its activities cover priorily communication, information, counseling and education measures.

In the mobility sector the programme promotes low carbon cars and driveability as well as mobility behavior and intelligent transport systems.

In the building sector the programme develops construction standards for low energy buildings. In the sector of electrical appliances the programme promotes the change towards more energy efficient appliances at the point of sale.

In the industry and service sectors the programme develops instruments for counseling and coaching companies in reaching their agreed goals in energy consumption.

And in the sector of renewable energies the programme develops instruments to improve the quality of planing and operating production plants.
