|Climate Change Description:|
Climate Projects are Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions reduction projects, implemented in Spain, developed in sectors not covered by the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), such as transport, building, agriculture and livestock, fluorinated gases or small industry. They must go beyond what is required by legislation and achieve real and verifiable emission reductions that have an impact in the Spanish National GHG Inventory.
The incentive for each selected Climate Project is the payment made by FES-CO2.
Carbon Fund for every tone of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) reduced and verified during a period of time.
