National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Poland 2014 has been prepared in connection with EU Directive 2012/27 / EU on energy efficiency. Document contains a description of the planned measures to improve energy efficiency, outlines the actions aimed at improving energy efficiency in the various sectors of the economy, necessary for the implementation of the efficient energy target for 2016, as well as measures to achieve the overall objective of energy efficiency understood, as achieving a 20% savings in primary energy consumption in the European Union by 2020. Document was approved by the Council of Ministers in October 2014.
The NEEAP 2014 also contains a long-term strategy for mobilising investment in the renovation of the national stock of residential and commercial buildings, both public and private. This strategy includes among others an overview of the national building stock based on statistical sampling; identification of cost-effective approaches to renovations relevant to the building type and climatic zone; policies and measures to stimulate cost-effective deep renovations of buildings. Moreover this strategy includes an overview of currently available programs and initiatives focused on improving energy efficiency of buildings in Poland. There are also identified funding opportunities (programs with national and European funds).
