Description:All new passenger cars carry an energy label stating its fuel consumption, level of CO2 emissions and efficiency category. The efficiency category indicates how energy-efficient or inefficient the car is in comparison to other cars of roughly the same size. Cars with an A-rating are efficient for their size, while cars with a G-rating are inefficient. These efficiency ratings accompany favorable tax treatment for buyers of more-efficient vehicles.
