Under the Energy Efficiency Label and Standard Programme, manufacturers and importers are required to produce and import products meeting a minimum energy performance standard (MEPS). Manufacturers and importers are mandated to disclose information of the products’ energy efficiency grade from level 1(highest) to level 5(lowest), by attaching a label showing CO2 emissions and energy cost.
