The Korean government established a DNA (Designated National Authority) in 2004 under the Prime Minister's Office to promote Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project development in Korea. As of September 2012, 69 CDM projects were registered. Since 2006, the Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO) offers CDM certification service as a Designated Operational Entity(DOE). And KEMCO provides expert training programmes for government and private sector to encourage CDM project development.
