The housing energy saving label is based on Article 86 of the revised energy conservation act, targeting consumers to help their purchasing decision. In the label, it is stated that whether the house complies with the Judgment of standard for houses set out by the government and housing builders are able to attach the label based on the method and concept as follows:

  • Total Evaluation of Energy Conservation Performance: evaluate insulation performance of external wall and window, and efficiency of construction facilities such as heating and cooling equipment and hot water supply.
  • Insulation Performance of external wall and window: Information provided in the label includes whether the insulation performance of external wall and window complies with the Judgment of Standard concerning Energy Conservation ( 1990 Standard).
  • Evaluation Method: Both a third-party evaluation and self-evaluation is allowed.
