Transport Ministerial Regulation No. 201 (2013) aims to mitigate emissions in the transportation sector through a complete "avoid, shift and improve" approach.
Policy is mainly focused on fuel substitution from oil to gas, although several "shift" policies have been implemented, including car-free days on weekends, transit-oriented development (TOD) planning, and encouragement of the use of non-motorised vehicles. Road pricing and parking management are not yet actively implemented in Indonesia.
