The National Environmental Action Plan (NEAP) was drafted via cooperation with numerous parties and with financial support of the World Bank. Plan was accepted by the government of B&H in March 2003. It contains comprehensive analysis of the environmental situation of the country, recognizes major issues that should be urgently addressed, outlines objectives and provides action path how to achieve them.Main goal of the policy is to secure clean air, soil and water as well as biodiversity of the country as well as to restore good state of previously polluted.
In the sector of energies these goals will be executed by increasing energy efficiency and usage of renewable energy sources (hydro, solar, wind and geothermal energy).
