The existing labelling system of electric appliances was extended (split of label A into 3 categories) in the transposition of Directive 2003/66/EC - an information campaign.
The existing labelling system of electric appliances is now in full renewal following publication of the new Framework Directive 2010/30/EU and Directive 2003/66/EC has been replaced by Delegated Regulation 1060/2010.
Among the about 15 Delegated Regulations foreseen as implementing measures of Directive 2010/30/EU, 7 are already published : on refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, air-conditioning (published 2011), dryers, lamps, luminaires & lightbulbs (2012) and televisions.
The developments are in synergy with Framework Directive 2009/125/EC on "Ecodesign" and with its related implementation measures (regulations and voluntary agreements).
The replacement of the two last old directives on furnaces and washers/dryers by delegated regulations is under evaluation. Additional delegated regulations (on space heaters, water heaters, vacuum cleaners, etc) are expected in 2013.
|This record supersedes:||Energy Consumption Labelling of Appliances|
