The regional Air Climat Energy Plan was adopted by the Brussels Government this on 2nd of June 2016, during a special session of the Government dedicated to the climate. The plan proposes 64 measures and 144 actions that aim to enable the Region to reduce its emissions by 30% by 2025 (compared to 1990 levels). It will also help the Region achieve Brussels Region air and energy goals.
The plan targets the most emitting sectors of greenhouse gases and atmospheric pollutants (building, transport, consumption, etc.), encourages the production of renewable energy, and also aims at the integration of actions to clean and maintain the clear air, climate and energy in all Brussels policies.
