The Remote Indigenous Energy Programme will assist smaller remote Indigenous communities to access reliable power through the installation of renewable energy systems. The program will also provide education to community members to help make sure that people don’t waste power and will also provide training to some community members on how to look after the renewable energy systems. The program is now closed, as part of the repeal of the Clean Energy Future plan.
