Step 1: Completion of the Business Profile.
Step 2: Verification of the potential savings of the business.
Step 3: A contractor must be found and one can use the Efficiency Trade Network for that.
Step 4: Approval of the documentation.
With help from the contractor:
- Completion of worksheets for the products to install
- Request of quote(s) for product(s) and labour
- Specification sheet(s) must be provided for each of the products tp upgrade.
- For the rebate, payment information must be provided.
Step 5: Upgrades are installed
Step 6: Confirmation that products have been installed
Step 7: Rebates are sent.
Efficiency Nova Scotia will reimburse with the approved payment amount within 30 days of the application being verified. For self-financing project, a financing agreement will be sent with a summary of the financing and rebate amounts. Upon receipt of the financing agreement, Nova Scotia Power will include the financing on the next billing cycle.
