Clean Energy-Environment State Partnership Program

EPA launched the new Clean Energy-Environment State Partnership Program in February 2005. It is a voluntary state-federal partnership that supports state efforts to increase the use of clean energy, while achieving public health and economic benefits. Twelve states have joined the Partnership.The EPA will assist states as they develop and implement action plans using existing and new policies and programmes to improve air quality, decrease energy use, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote energy efficiency, clean distributed generation, renewable energy, and other clean energy sources.
