The Andhra Pradesh Wind Power Policy 2015, in an order to promote wind power projects, was updated from the Andhra Pradesh Wind Power Policy, 2012.The Wind Power Policy, 2015 encourages, develops and promotes wind power generation in the State with a view to meet growing demand. It also aims to attract private investment to the State for the establishment of large wind power projects and promotes investments for setting up manufacturing facilities in the State.The following incentives are available:Power evacuation – wind power projects will be exempted from paying the supervision charges to APTransco/Discom toward the internal evacuation infrastructure within the wind farm site and up to pooling sub-station.Banking of 100% of energy shall be permitted during all 12 months of the year.Banking of 100% of energy shall be permitted for all Captive and Open Access/Scheduled Consumers during all 12 months of the year.Intra-state Open Access clearance for the whole tenure of the project or 25 years, whichever is earlier.For more details on the incentives and others, see the link provided.
