The directive defines the rules that govern the payments for the equipment used in connecting the renewable electricity systems with the grid. It states that the distributor shall be responsible for all costs for equipment installed at the distributor side up to the connection point with the renewable energy facility. The owner of the renewable energy facility shall be responsible for all costs related to equipment installed at the owner side up to the connection point with the distributor’s network. Moreover, the owner of the renewable energy facility shall design, procure, and install all works required to comply with the distribution code. For the purposes of this directive, the connection point is the metering point for electrical energy generated by the renewable energy generator.
