Parliament decided to raise all energy taxes by approximately 5% as of 1 January 2003. The subsidy for electricity produced from logging chips was also increased (EUR 0.069 per kWh). The calculation of taxable fuels in combined heat and power production was changed to provide an additional incentive for CHP.
