The Decree sets the rules governing the sale of renewable electricity to the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG). Entities from the industry, agriculture and commercial sectors that produce renewable electricity for their own consumption may sell the surplus to the STEG, up to 30% of the annual electricity production of the country. The value of the feed-in tariff is decided by the Ministry of Energy. Renewable electricity producers cover the cost of connection to the grid.
