Act 136/2011 on the promotion of renewable energy and highly efficient cogeneration

Act No. 136 / 2011 amending and supplementing the Act no. 309/2009 Coll. valid from 1 May 2011 includes in to RES aerothermal and hydrothermal energy and redefines some of the terms (geothermal energy, hydrothermal energy, aerothermal energy, the National Action Plan for Renewable Energy, bioliquids, the emissions of greenhouse gases, etc.). It introduces a national goal of share of energy from renewable sources, which is specified in the National Action Plan for energy from renewable sources and determines the method for its calculation, Statistical transfer, Joint projects and lays down the calculation of national targets and the reporting obligation of the Ministry of Economy. Rights and obligations of distribution system operators in the field of electricity supply are ex integro adjusted. It amends provision, which allows to support production of all electricity from renewable energy sources in CHP plants that meets the minimum level of 30% share of renewables in the fuel and the share of heat for technological purposes is more than 40% of the utilizable heat. Amending Act also redefines rights and obligation for biomethane producers and distribution system operators, lays down the terms and conditions for connection of biomethane in the distribution grid
