The Action Plan thus contains information about biomass, its potential and availability in the Slovak Republic, including its characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, its potential for energy use, and an analysis of its availability. It also underlines the governments priorities regarding use of biomass for energy. These include: - Providing financial support for the production of biomass for energy use, primarily in the agricultural sector; - Implementing technologies for the preparation and use of biomass in practicial applications (from logging and harvesting activities to production of energy); - Supporting science, research and development, and education in the area of biomass for energy.
