Emprove programme operated by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA)

Last updated: 14 September 2020
The Emprove programme is operated by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA). Emprove focuses on helping businesses to get more from their expenditure on energy. The programme targets large energy users - companies that spend over NZD 250,000 per annum on energy - through the implementation of energy management programmes. The programme provides a range of services enabling businesses to realise energy efficiency opportunities: An EECA account manager to provide on site support with energy management for large users; Provision of Energy Achiever, an energy management diagnostic tool to help evaluate current energy management practices, identify critical actions, and provide a structured framework to achieve continuous improvement in energy management; Funding for energy audits to identify energy saving opportunities; Seminars and workshops to up-skill energy managers on managing energy; and Case study information highlighting the energy efficient practices of other companies. The Emprove service also promotes energy efficiency through selected publications, e.g. Energywise News, targeting energy managers and chief executives.
