Registration deadline: 30 June 2019
The International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA) are pleased to announce a specialised training programme on Green Buildings in Singapore from 16 to 18 July 2019, under the Singapore-IEA Regional Training Hub.
The training aims to build capacity and strengthen the network among policy makers, academics and professionals working in the building sector in Southeast Asia, and to equip them with greater knowledge and skills to establish the path towards a low-emission, efficient and resilient buildings and construction sector in their respective countries.
The training will offer a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, practical exercises and a site visit that will allow participants to learn from international best practices and each other.
Following the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction’s methodology for the development of building sector Roadmaps, the sessions will explore timelines and target setting, policy and technology approaches, investment and capacity building, as well as the multiple benefits of energy efficiency for the following themes:
a) Building planning and design: including new buildings; retrofits; and materials.
b) Building systems and operation: including systems for cooling; lighting; water heating; building management and building operations.
c) Policy in action: including policy implementation of buildings policies, and monitoring and evaluation.
