Background:

On the 20th and 21st of January 2010, the IEA CCS Regulators Network held their second meeting at the IEA offices in Paris. The meeting focussed on the work that has been done to develop policy and regulation for CCS in different parts of the world including Europe, North America and Australia. There were also two sessions dedicated to the development of CCS policy and regulation in developing countries with presentations on South Africa, Brazil, China, Indonesia and India. The meeting will also be used to present and discuss the preliminary work done on the IEA CCS Model Legal and Regulatory Framework.
