Background: |
CCS technologies continue to receive greater political and industry support in countries around the world. Further new demonstration projects have been announced, in line with governmental pledges of increased funding and policy support for the technology. However, if there is to be a timely deployment of the technology, ensuring ongoing public support for CCS will be crucial. Not only to endorse the level of investment of public funds required, but also to enable successful project development at the demonstration sites. Various studies and research programmes, undertaken across many jurisdictions, have elicited a range of responses relating to the perception of the potential risks posed by CCS. This webinar explored some of these studies and examined:
