From Macro to Micro Energy Indicators - Data and Methodology Training Session

Location and date(s) of workshop:
IEA, Paris: 28 April 2006

Organiser(s): IEA

Background:

Aims: Building on the first two days of workshop ("Introduction to Energy Indicators" and "Taking the Energy Indicators Work Forwards"), this workshop will focus on data and methodology issues towards a solid data foundation in support of sound energy indicators.

Using basic energy statistics to build indicators is one thing, collecting the data is another thing. This workshop, which should really have been the first in terms of sequence, provides a forum for sharing with participants the experience of countries in the development of data collection strategies toward the production of the underlying activity and energy data required to produce energy indicators.

Target Audience: This workshop will be relevant to representatives from the energy statistical community as much as from the policy and analytical communities, as it is not a one-dimensional issue, but at least a three dimensional issue.

An agenda will be made available shortly. An agenda will be made available shortly.
