WEO Policy Database

Addressing the recent G8 mandate to provide alternative energy scenarios and solutions to the world's looming energy challenges, an extensive effort has been made to update and substantially expand the list of energy-related policies and measures compiled for the Alternative Policy Scenario analysis.

The World Energy Outlook Policy Database has been compiled from various sources including: IEA Climate Change Mitigation Database, IEA Energy Efficiency Database, IEA Global Renewable Energy Policies and Measures Database, the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) from "Transport CO2 Policy Review Report", as well as contacts from industry and government.
