World Energy Statistics online data service 2016 edition - (expires 15 April 2017)

New (April 2017): A preliminary version of this online data service has just been released.

This new data service replaces the former Energy Statistics of OECD Countries and Energy Statistics of Non-OECD Countries and contains key energy statistics for over 150 countries and regions.

The  data service contains key energy statistics for over 150 countries and regions. Data are provided in original units for the different types of coal, oil, natural gas, renewables and waste, as well as for electricity and heat. In general, the data are available for 1971 (1960 for OECD countries) to 2015.

The August 2017 update will include data up to 2015, with provisional supply data for 2016 for OECD countries and estimates for 2016 for non-OECD countries.

Data are provided in original units for the different types of coal, oil, natural gas, renewables and waste, as well as for electricity and heat. In general, the data are available for 1960 to 2015.

This service will be updated twice a year. In April a preliminary edition containing OECD data only is published with the final edition released early August, augmented with data for more than 110 non-OECD countries.

This first edition of this new service is for sale at a special reduced price - almost 30% less than the combined cost of the 2 former data services it replaces (i.e. Energy Statistics of OECD Countries and Energy Statistics of Non-OECD Countries).
