Businesses that meet the criteria of an SME are eligible for support through the Energy Saving Scotland Small Business Loans scheme. A small business may be offered a loan if it cannot access, or can only partially access, Green Deal finance for measures identified in a Green Deal advice report; or for measures identified by a Resource Efficiency Scotland audit/report. This scheme offers interest-free loans of GBP 1 000 to GBP 100 000 for energy efficiency measures and resource efficiency measures, and loans at a 5% interest rate for renewable measures (where the applicant is planning to claim the FIT or RHI).
