Funding:SEK 110 million was allocated to this measure. SEK 84 million have been disbursed.
Evaluation:The National Board of Housing, Building and Planning evaluated the programme in 2012. Main results and conclusion: The grants have been of importance for the initiation and stimulation of land use planning schedules for wind power among local authorities. A majority of the municipalities have integrated wind power in their planning schedules. The main purpose of the grant has therefore been fulfilled. However, there have been some flaws/discrepancies regarding the quality in some planning schedules. Description:

The Ordinance on grants for local authority land use planning for wind power came into force in May 2007. The purpose of the grant was to create methodical preparedness to support the expansion of wind power among local authorities and municipalities. A total of 2012 municipalities and 13 county administrative boards applied for the grants and worked with developing land use planning outlines/schedules for wind power.

Out of the SEK 110 million allocated for this measure, almost SEK 84 million have been disbursed. The grants have been of importance in order to initiate, stimulate and develop the planning schedules among local authorities.
