The National Climate Change Response White Paper presents the South African Government’s vision for an effective climate change response and long-term, just transition to a competitive, climate-resilient and lower-carbon economy and society. Includes adaptation and mitigation measures. Emissions Reduction Target in the period 2020 to 2025: lower limit of 398 Megatonnes (109 kg) (Mt) CO2-eq and upper limits of 583 Mt CO2-eq and 614 Mt CO2-eq for 2020 and 2025 respectively.
