The Emprove; programme is operated by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) Emprove focuses on helping businesses to get more from their expenditure on energy. The programme targets large energy users - companies that spend over NZD 250,000 per annum on energy - through the implementation of energy management programmes. The programme provides a range of services enabling businesses to realise energy efficiency opportunities: * An EECA account manager to provide on site support with energy management for large users; * Provision of Energy Achiever, an energy management diagnostic tool to help evaluate current energy management practices, identify critical actions, and provide a structured framework to achieve continuous improvement in energy management; * Funding for energy audits to identify energy saving opportunities; * Seminars and workshops to up-skill energy managers on managing energy; and * Case study information highlighting the energy efficient practices of other companies. The Emprove service also promotes energy efficiency through selected publications, e.g. Energywise News, targeting energy managers and chief executives.
