The regulation provides detailed conditions of the tender process for the offshore wind plants and the subsidy to be awarded as a result of that process.
The regulation stipulates that tenders will seek investors to develop projects in Borssele area Lot I and Lot II. The nominal capacity of the production plant to be developed is 351 MW; the maximum capacity is 380 MW per lot. The maximum subsidy to be granted through auction system cannot exceed EUR 2.5 bn per lot. The bidding price submitted in the tender cannot exceed EUR 0.124/kWh.
