The Fund for Environmental Protection (“Fonds pur la Protection de l’Environment (FPE)”) was established on 25th November 1999.

The goals of the Fund are:

  • Prevention and fight with air pollutions, noise and climate change;
  • Prevention and waste management;
  • Protection of the environment and environmental heritage;
  • Rehabilitation of waste disposal sites and their management;
  • Rehabilitation of contaminated areas;
  • Promotion of rational usage of energy and energy efficiency;
  • Deployment of renewable energies.
