The maximum capacity of any project shall be no larger than 15 MW.
The Government of Madhya Pradesh, with the aim of promoting setting up of renewable energy-based power plants has issued policies for various energy sources to encourage investors/developers. The State Government issued an energy policy in 2006 to promote power generation through new and renewable energy sources. The projects registered and approved under the Energy Policy 2006 shall be migrated into this policy, but the Biomass Power Policy sets its own framework for biomass generation in the State.
