Description:

For the construction of new buildings (housing) – including buildings replacing existing ones – the funding takes the form of low-interest loans (as of 1 April 2016, fixed interest rates over a period of twenty years). In addition, repayment grants amounting to 10% and 5% are respectively made available for buildings that meet the criteria of the two most energy-efficient categories of buildings under the 2009 Energy Saving Ordinance (40% and 55% of the annual primary energy consumption).Funding of new buildings which exceed the prevailing building standard: KfW energy-efficient building 70, 55, 40 and low-energy building standard. Financing is provided to a maximum of €50,000 per residential unit, to a maximum of 100% of the eligible costs. Continuation of the KfW Ecological Construction Programme.
