Description:

Within an approved authorization in the State Budget, repair and energy grants can be made by The Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland for improvements in the condition and quality of individual apartments and apartment buildings. The purpose of the grants is to improve the energy economy of residential buildings. Grants are aimed at reducing both energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases.Grants are awarded for: - Conducting independent energy audits - External repair work as defined in legislation - Improving the ventilation and heating systems - Implementing renewable energy sources. The grant covers up to 15 - 25 % of the approved costs and are awarded by the local authority. Due to the overall reductions in the Government’s budget, these subsidies have now been partially ceased.
