|Renewable Energy Description:|
The goal of this measure, financed from the CO2 quota sales, is to rise the percentage of renewable energy in the overall energy production and to lower the level of pollution coming from the production of energy.
Three activities are supported: construction of combined generation plants that are based on renewable energy, reconstruction of boiler houses, reconstuction of district heating networks to lower the amount of energy lost through it.
Currently around 60 projects have been financed through this scheme. The scheme is focused on investments as only 3,95% of the funds are to be used for "soft" activities (management of the support scheme, independent auditing).
