Description:Within its 11th Five-Year Period, China plans to reduce residential and public buildings energy consumption by 50%, saving 50 million tons of standard coal. The federal plan for energy conservation in buildings formally mandates: - the quick technical reform of heat-supply systems nation-wide; - renewed efforts to promoting building energy efficiency technology and related products; and - renovation of existing buildings in the nations cold northern regions, with particular focus on hotels.
