Amending 2004s Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases, the 2005 reporting rules for large industrial facilities include new categories of emissions from waste and wastewater treatment and on-site transportation. Following the previous standards, these amendments concern all facilities emitting more than 100,000 tonnes of CO2-equivalent each year. In practice, 340 industrial facilities must thus report their yearly emissions of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons and perfluorocarbons to Statistics Canada.
|This record supersedes:||Mandatory Reporting of GHG|
