The Energy Efficient Housing Initiative aims to promote the construction and purchase of more energy-efficient, environmentally responsible housing and the energy-efficient renovation of existing housing. The initiative encompasses two programs: the R-2000 Home Standard for builders and the EnerGuide for Houses program for home-owners and other participants in the housing market.
