Energy Efficiency Description:

This Program supports conservation and demand management in new construction and retrofit projects in commercial and multi-family residential buildings in Toronto. For building owners and managers, energy efficient buildings have lower long-term operating costs, greater marketability, and greater occupant comfort. The Program assists building owners and developers access the saveONenergy High Performance New Construction Program, which rewards builders and project decision-makers with incentives to offset the cost of implementing energy-efficiency measures. It also partners with the City of Toronto's Planning Division, assisting with the review of site plan application submissions and ensures applications for new buildings meet the energy efficiency requirements of the Toronto Green Standard (TGS).
